Client Relationship Manager

Location:

Reporting To:

  • Direct: Operations Director
  • Indirect: Managing Director

Key Responsibilities:

Client Management

  • Build and nurture strong, professional relationships with clients.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to client concerns.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and arrange additional or one-off services.
  • Ensure high client satisfaction and service standards are met consistently.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, support, and develop on-site teams across multiple locations.
  • Support recruitment activities and succession planning to ensure strong team capability and future growth.
  • Deliver regular training sessions and performance reviews.
  • Address underperformance through structured support and company-aligned procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with HR on employee relations and disciplinary matters.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure the delivery of full contract services; swiftly address any gaps.
  • Conduct regular on-site visits and maintain a visible presence.
  • Monitor consumables and manage inventory through our online system.
  • Manage payroll timesheet approvals and site budget compliance.
  • Complete regular audits (Quality Audits & Client Experience Reviews).
  • Promote safe working practices and ensure all Health & Safety protocols are followed.

What We Are Looking For:

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong knowledge of cleaning, facilities management, property services, or other service-led operational environments.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and client-facing communication skills.
  • Organised, proactive, and solution-focused approach.
  • Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
  • High attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Flexible and adaptable under pressure.
  • Ability to travel regularly between client locations across the region.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills, gained through education, training, or practical experience. Professional qualifications in business, facilities management, or related disciplines are beneficial but not essential.
  • Experience managing multi-site operations and middle management teams.
  • Proven success in client relationship management and account growth.
  • Multilingual abilities are a plus.

Additional Information:

  • Background in facilities or service-led, multi-site organisations is highly desirable.
  • The role may occasionally require work outside normal business hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. We support flexible working arrangements wherever operationally possible.
  • Financial understanding, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, is essential.
