Wage
£14,560 to £23,132.20, depending on your age
National Minimum Wage

Fully funded Level 6 BSc (Hons) Degree worth £27,000+ with zero student debt to the apprentice. The starting salary is set competitively above the standard legal minimum to attract high-calibre career professionals. Structured annual pay reviews aligned directly with corporate performance frameworks and university module progress milestones. All academic study days, exams, and university workshops are fully paid working hours.

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Acting as the primary point of contact for key corporate accounts.
  • Building long-term professional trust and maintaining exceptional client relationships.
  • Monitoring daily fulfilment lines to ensure zero delivery failures for public sector clients.
  • Coordinating with logistics teams to resolve supply chain or transport issues promptly.
  • Reviewing key service metrics and tracking client satisfaction feedback.
  • Assisting with the onboarding and implementation of our tracking software platform.
  • Preparing regular service update briefs and meeting agendas for corporate client reviews.
  • Identifying opportunities for client service optimisation and smooth contract delivery.

Where you'll work

This role is open to applicants across England, featuring a flexible hybrid framework combining home-based remote work with scheduled visits to regional hub locations. You will coordinate relationships with key healthcare and other corporate clients across various regions in England. The position involves close collaboration with our cross-border operations, including international travel links to China and the United States.

Training

Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.

Course contents

  • Working with others: Influential, able to conduct stakeholder analysis and develop strong relationships at all levels, internally and externally, to build trust. Interacts professionally and ethically maintaining a positive and flexible attitude. Demonstrates emotional intelligence.
  • Consultative Selling: Works with customers to identify new business and market challenges, utilising insights and good questioning and listening techniques. Identifies strategic & innovative solutions integrating products and excellent service solutions, to meet customer needs.
  • Pitching: Leads a confident, clear and compelling sales pitch in front of a customer, which builds rapport, establishes credibility and delivers commercial benefit. Handles questions, objections and demonstrates the value of the proposal in a clear, quantifiable way.
  • Negotiation and Closing: Applies the principles of negotiation, develops strategies and tactics to a mutually agreeable outcome, ensuring both customer and supplier leave committed to the outcome.
  • Psychology of Sales: Critically reflects on the different psychological needs of customers and other key stakeholders in the buying/selling process. Takes into account strategic and organisational context when adapting their sales approaches, by using the psychological models pertinent to developing positive and ethical buyer and seller relationships.
  • Leveraging Digital Business: Adopts different approaches to social selling & digital technologies which aid the sales process. Develops a digital selling strategy that leverages social selling to support lead generation, nurturing and customer engagement. Develops digital networks and drives insight-led engagements. Measures results and return on investment.

Training schedule

The training is delivered as a blended degree model, combining on-the-job client management at Basketdrop Ltd with structured online university learning blocks and interactive digital workshops. The apprentice will study towards a fully funded BSc (Hons) in Business-to-Business Sales awarded by Middlesex University. Dedicated study days and academic assignments are structured around and strict off-the-job training will follow the time allocations outlined in the Occupational Standard during regular working hours. Formal, structured three-way progress reviews will be held systematically every 12 weeks between the apprentice, a Basketdrop Ltd supervisor, and the Middlesex University academic programme team to monitor performance benchmarks.

  • Comprehensive preparation for the End-Point Assessment (EPA) is fully integrated into the degree curriculum, ensuring the apprentice is guided step-by-step toward achieving both their BSc (Hons) degree and full professional certification.

  • ESFA Eligibility Requirements: Applicants must meet standard government funding rules, including having lived in the UK/EEA for the last 3 consecutive years and holding the right to work in the UK.
