Company Description

Macaw Security Solutions is an SSAIB accredited provider specializing in the design, installation, and maintenance of high-specification intruder alarm, CCTV, and access control systems, working to the latest SSAIB and European standards. The company partners closely with clients and insurance providers to deliver security systems tailored to individual requirements. With many years of experience in the security industry, Macaw Security Solutions can also take over and manage existing security systems while maintaining continuous protection during any transfer process. Systems are connected to an NSI Gold approved Alarm Receiving Centre via Redcare GSM or DualCom GPRS, enabling full police response on confirmed intruder activations, personal attack incidents, and monitored CCTV events. This focus on quality, compliance, and reliable monitoring makes Macaw Security Solutions a trusted partner for comprehensive security solutions.

Role Description

The Client Relationship Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Birmingham, responsible for managing and nurturing long-term relationships with new and existing clients. This role includes acting as the primary point of contact, understanding client security requirements, and coordinating with technical teams to ensure systems are designed, installed, and maintained according to agreed specifications.

Daily tasks also involve preparing proposals, supporting contract renewals, monitoring client satisfaction, and identifying opportunities to enhance services and solutions. The role requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners, including insurers and monitoring centres, to deliver a high standard of customer service.

Qualifications

  • Strong client-facing skills, including relationship management, account management, and customer service, with the ability to build trust and maintain long-term partnerships.
  • Experience in security systems or related technical services, with working knowledge of intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, or monitoring solutions considered highly beneficial.
  • Solid communication and negotiation abilities, including clear written documentation, confident verbal communication, and effective presenting of solutions and proposals.
  • Organizational and planning skills, including managing multiple client accounts, prioritizing workload, and ensuring timely follow-up on issues and service actions.
  • Comfort working collaboratively with technical, operations, and sales teams, and coordinating with external stakeholders such as insurers and monitoring centres.
  • Prior experience in a client relationship, account management, or customer success role
  • Basic proficiency with CRM systems and standard office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, and documentation tools) to track client interactions and contracts.
  • Ability to work on-site in Birmingham, conduct occasional client visits, and maintain a professional, non-discriminatory approach with clients and colleagues.
  • A full clean UK driving Licence
