Company Description

Interstu is an education consultancy providing independent advice and support to international students applying to the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada and Europe. Founded in 2009, we work with a wide network of educational partners, offering everything from language courses through to PhD programmes. We have supported over 1,000 students in pursuing their education abroad. With offices in London and Jeddah, and further expansion planned, Interstu is dedicated to making the transition to studying in a new country as smooth and rewarding as possible.

Role Description

This is a full time hybrid role based in Greater London, with some flexibility to work from home.

The Client Relationship Manager is the primary point of contact for students enrolled in the Interstu Membership Club. You will act as a trusted adviser from the moment a student joins through to the end of their membership, making sure they settle successfully into life in the UK and get full value from their membership.

  • Owning the relationship with a portfolio of member students, providing responsive and personalised support throughout the academic year
  • Guiding students through practical settling in tasks, including opening a UK bank account, registering with a GP and applying for council tax exemption
  • Supporting students with accommodation, from sourcing suitable property through to resolving tenancy and maintenance issues with landlords and providers
  • Acting as the liaison between students and their parents or legal guardians, providing clear and regular updates on academic progress and wellbeing
  • Coaching students on personal statements and application documents, offering constructive feedback that strengthens their submissions
  • Coordinating academic guidance, scholarship applications and additional support such as tutoring, working with colleagues and third party providers
  • Maintaining accurate student records and case notes in our CRM system
  • Escalating and resolving issues promptly, keeping students and families informed throughout

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Between zero and three years of professional experience. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply
  • The right to work in the United Kingdom without current or future visa sponsorship
  • Full professional or native proficiency in English
  • Familiarity with the education systems of the UK, the Middle East, Europe and the United States
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to build rapport with students and parents alike
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple cases at once
  • A proactive, resourceful approach to problem solving
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable

  • Proficiency in Russian or Arabic
  • Prior experience in international education, student services or a client facing role
