About Essex Chambers of Commerce & Industry

Essex Chambers of Commerce & Industry is the county’s leading independent business membership organisation and the only Chamber in Essex accredited by the British Chambers of Commerce. It is a not-for-profit organisation representing businesses of all sizes and sectors, from ambitious SMEs and entrepreneurs through to major national and international organisations.

The Chambers plays a vital role in bringing the Essex business community together, creating opportunities for businesses to connect, collaborate, learn and grow. Through its extensive programme of networking events, exhibitions, training, business support and international trade services, members can develop new relationships, access expertise, generate opportunities and expand their networks.

However, the role of the Chambers goes far beyond networking.

A Voice for Essex Business

Essex Chambers acts as an independent voice for the business community, ensuring that the views and concerns of businesses are heard by local authorities, MPs, government departments and other key decision-makers.

The Chambers is actively involved in local and regional partnerships and engages with policymakers on issues that directly affect businesses, including infrastructure, skills, economic development, trade and investment. It provides businesses with a collective voice that can influence policy and shape the future economic direction of Essex.

The Role

We are looking for a highly organised, proactive and personable Client Relationship Support Executive to join our team in Colchester.

This is an important member-facing role, supporting both existing and prospective Chamber members and helping to ensure they receive an excellent experience at every touchpoint.

You will combine relationship management, customer service, administration and commercial awareness, helping members make the most of their Chamber membership while supporting the Client Relationship Manager to deliver an outstanding service.

You will be someone who enjoys speaking to businesses, building relationships and getting things done. You will be confident following up with people, identifying what they need and connecting them with the right Chamber service, event, opportunity or colleague.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
