Client Retention & Renewals Executive
Gateshead | £31,734 + Bonus | Realistic OTE £37,734
Represent the Business. Own the Relationship. Protect the Contract.
Office Angels are recruiting for a Client Retention & Renewals Executive to join a successful and established organisation based in Gateshead. This is a high-quality, client-facing commercial role for someone confident building relationships, managing renewals and discussing contracts, pricing and value with key stakeholders.
As a Client Retention & Renewals Executive, you'll become a key point of contact for an established portfolio of clients across the UK. You'll conduct client meetings via video and telephone, manage commercial renewal conversations and build relationships with key stakeholders. You'll understand client requirements, discuss contracts and pricing, address concerns and ensure clients continue to see value in their relationship with the business.
This is not a high-volume contact centre environment. You'll manage relationships, own renewal opportunities and represent the business directly to clients.

Holiday Set Up
- Up to 37 days' annual leave including Bank Holidays
- Annual leave is taken during half term periods, with up to two days' annual leave permitted during each term
- During August, working hours are reduced to 9:30am to 3:00pm
- Five days' annual leave are allocated to the August wellbeing shutdown week, with additional shutdown over Christmas

A Commercial Role With Real Responsibility
You'll manage a portfolio of existing clients and renewal opportunities, taking ownership throughout the renewal journey. Clients may be responsible for significant purchasing decisions, so you'll need to be comfortable having commercial conversations around contracts, pricing, value and requirements. You'll identify potential renewal risks, explore concerns directly and represent the business with professionalism and credibility.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing client relationships throughout the renewal lifecycle
- Conducting professional client meetings via video, telephone and email
- Building trusted relationships with key contacts and stakeholders
- Understanding client requirements, objectives and concerns
- Managing renewals through to completion
- Discussing contracts, pricing, terms and renewal options
- Preparing quotations and commercial proposals
- Handling objections and identifying potential renewal risks
- Re-engaging previous clients and strengthening existing relationships
- Maintaining an accurate renewal pipeline and CRM records
- Working with internal teams to ensure a seamless client experience
- Achieving agreed retention, renewal and performance objectives
About You
You may have experience in account management, customer success, renewals, retention, consultative sales, business development, relationship management or contract management.
You'll bring:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A polished and professional approach to client relationships
- Confidence discussing pricing, contracts and value
- Strong relationship-building, influencing and negotiation skills
- Confidence handling objections and commercially sensitive conversations
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple client relationships and renewal opportunities
- Confidence using CRM systems, with Microsoft Dynamics or similar experience advantageous
- Experience within education, public sector, technology, software or another service-led organisation would also be beneficial.
