What success looks like in this role
The Client Security Officer (CSO) supports the delivery of cybersecurity governance, risk, and compliance activities across multiple client accounts. Working closely with Client Executives, Client Delivery Executives, Client Technology Officers, and client stakeholders, the role helps ensure security requirements are implemented, monitored, and aligned with contractual, regulatory, and corporate obligations.
This is a client-facing cybersecurity role focused on operational security governance, risk management, compliance oversight, reporting, and incident coordination rather than defining security strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Support multiple client accounts within a leveraged cybersecurity support model.
- Partner with Client Executives, Client Delivery Executives, and Client Technology Officers to drive cybersecurity initiatives.
- Ensure client security requirements are aligned with Unisys policies, standards, and contractual commitments.
- Support client onboarding activities with a focus on cybersecurity governance and compliance.
- Monitor security compliance and coordinate remediation activities where required.
- Identify, assess, and escalate cybersecurity risks and issues.
- Support incident response and coordination activities under the guidance of senior security leadership.
- Prepare and present cybersecurity reports, metrics, dashboards, and risk updates to internal and client stakeholders.
- Review RFPs, contracts, and client requests for security and compliance requirements.
- Support implementation and adoption of security controls and best practices across client environments.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of security governance processes and client security programs.
- Maintain awareness of emerging security threats, regulations, and industry best practices.

Key Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related discipline; Master's degree preferred.
- Ideally 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, risk management, compliance, or information security.
- Typically 6+ years of experience in customer-facing, consulting, advisory, or stakeholder engagement roles.
- Experience supporting cybersecurity governance and compliance programs within enterprise environments.
- Previous experience in a senior security role such as Security Manager, Security Architect, Security Advisor, or Cybersecurity Consultant.
- Strong knowledge of risk management, compliance frameworks, security operations, and incident response.
- Ability to communicate complex cybersecurity concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong presentation, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills.
- Experience working across global and cross-functional teams.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Ability to interpret regulatory, contractual, and policy requirements and apply them effectively in client environments.
- Eligible to obtain relevant security clearance where required.

The ideal candidate is a trusted cybersecurity professional who can effectively partner with clients and internal stakeholders to manage security risk, ensure compliance, and drive security governance outcomes across multiple customer environments. They possess strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and a pragmatic approach to cybersecurity and risk management.
