Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Role

Business Talent Group (BTG) matches independent consultants, subject-matter experts, and interim executives to live problems inside some of the world's biggest companies. As a Heidrick & Struggles company, BTG sits at the centre of the on-demand talent economy, and the London-based Client Service team is growing to keep up. This role is designed for recent graduates and early-career professionals (0-2 years) who want to work directly with senior executives, negotiate deals, and see the impact of their work on clients' businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Search our network and the open market across Europe to find the right independent consultant or subject-matter expert for a live client brief, often within days or hours.
  • Screen talent, assess fit against the client's problem, advise clients on the on-demand market, and present the strongest candidates directly to the client.
  • Synthesize research into sharp, compelling talent profiles and client-ready presentations, and keep every project on track in our CRM.
  • Coach consultants ahead of client interviews, manage difficult conversations when timelines or scope shift, and build the trust, credibility, and commercial instincts that turn a one-off placement into a repeat relationship.
  • Support contracting, rate negotiations, and coordination with sales, finance, and legal to get talent onto a project without friction.
  • Own outcomes, not tasks: follow projects end to end, from the first call through the talent's last day on a client engagement, and be accountable for a positive experience at every step.
  • Progress from structured onboarding and supported talent identification to independently driving early project workflow, including client calls, tailored candidate profiles, vetting calls, scheduling, and greater responsibility for projects post-win.
