Client Services Project Manager

St Albans, Hertfordshire
£30,000–£40,000 DOE + Performance Bonus + Excellent Benefits

Understanding Solutions is the consulting division of the award-winning Understanding Recruitment Group.

We partner with organisations across software engineering, data and emerging technologies, delivering outcome-based technology projects through Statements of Work (SoW). Rather than simply providing resource, we work closely with our clients to deliver successful project outcomes and long-term value.

As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Client Services Project Manager to join the team and play a key role in ensuring every client engagement runs smoothly from onboarding through to successful project delivery.

The Role

This is a varied role where you'll act as the central point of contact for both clients and consultants, ensuring projects remain on track, risks are managed, communication is clear and our clients receive an exceptional service throughout the project lifecycle. Working closely with the Head of Solutions, Sales and Talent Delivery teams, you'll help drive operational excellence while identifying opportunities to continually improve how we deliver our consultancy services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day management of client engagements and project delivery across multiple accounts.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and deployed consultants, acting as the main point of contact throughout each project.
  • Coordinate the onboarding process for new clients and consultants, ensuring a seamless start to every engagement.
  • Conduct regular service reviews to monitor project performance, discuss progress and identify any delivery risks.
  • Produce project reports and track milestones, deliverables and overall project performance.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues that could impact successful delivery.
  • Manage project documentation, governance and change requests.
  • Champion our project management platform, supporting both clients and consultants with best practice and adoption.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure projects are delivered to a consistently high standard.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen existing client relationships and support future business growth.
  • Continuously review and improve our service delivery processes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
