The role of Client Services Associate

GLAS is an international provider of institutional debt administration services, serving lenders, borrowers, issuers, and advisers offering a global platform across Loan Agency and related services, Capital Markets and Restructuring.

To expand our successful operation we are hiring a Client Services Associate at GLAS. The Client Services Associate will liaise very closely with the EMEA Client Services Team. The role includes managing and processing all operational aspects of GLAS client transactions within specific deadlines. Each team member has responsibility for a specific portfolio of Loans / Bonds and is the primary operational contact for the Borrowers and Lenders on these transactions.

To be successful in your role

We are looking for a dynamic individual able to work in an entrepreneurial fast pace working environment. To be successful in this role you are an effective communicator with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Managing drawdowns, rollovers, rate fixes, pre-payments, redemptions and maturities.
  • Inputting relevant data into the system Solvas.
  • Generating and sending notices to Borrowers and Lenders within specific timeframes.
  • Receiving and checking SSI’s, initiating the call back process where necessary.
  • Managing funds flow between Borrowers and Lenders.
  • Making payments through Barclays.Net, arranging a foreign exchange transaction where appropriate.
  • Calculating and payment of principal repayments, interest, commitment and other fees (including PIK and non-pro rata events)
  • Reconciling accounts.
  • Handling of transfers ensuring requests comply with the transaction documentation and the collection of transfer fees.
  • Understanding of deal documentation for inputting into the system or responding to Borrower / Lender queries.
  • Dealing with client queries in a timely manner.
  • Dealing with Audit request.
  • Timely escalation of relevant matters to Team Leader and/or Managers.
  • Due diligence with regards to potential fraud, money laundering, and both financial and reputational risk to GLAS.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Proven examples of working to tight deadlines
  • A high degree of detail and strong organisational skills
  • Previous experience of using SOLVAS desirable
  • A desirable degree in a finance or business related field
