Ameresco Leeds

Ameresco Leeds is an award-winning management consultancy business, specializing in energy, providing strategic advice, risk management, and energy analytics and energy optimization services to clients throughout the UK. Ameresco is going through an exciting period of planned growth and is looking to recruit for their UK operation in Yorkshire. This opportunity is hybrid and based out of the Leeds, UK office.

Ameresco has a unique combination of energy industry, trading, and financial expertise (developed at Yorkshire Electricity, Scottish Power, Npower, BP, and Ernst & Young) that ensures we bring a multi-disciplined approach to the optimal procurement, planning, and ongoing management of energy costs, usage, and associated carbon emissions.

Ameresco Leeds has placed over 2,000 energy contracts worth in excess of £1 billion with 35+ suppliers on behalf of nearly 200 clients. We focus on a small number of high-value industrial and commercial clients with a considerable energy spend.

Client Services

The Client Services team is each allocated a number of clients and provide services across our client’s electricity/gas/water portfolios that can be summarized as follows:

  • Bill Validation
  • Historical Bill Validation
  • Tenant Billing
  • Portfolio Management
  • Query Handling
  • Consumption analysis

Role Scope – Client Services Coordinator

The Client Services Coordinator will be expected to perform all the tasks of the Client Services Administrator and in addition be able to work on more complex clients’ portfolios on a solo basis. Their role will include:

  • Bill validation of invoices with more variable elements, such as those relating to flexible contracts
  • Handling and recording of more complex queries such as metering disputes
  • Consumption analysis such as capacity reviews
  • Communication with clients through emails and meetings and where necessary supported by more senior members of the team

Role Duties

  • Ability to effectively perform analysis on a range of data within Excel and other systems (such as Systems Link) used within the business
  • Support the team in building and maintaining a good working relationship with Ameresco’s key utility supplier base
  • Support the team in creating/maintaining bill validation reports for Ameresco clients
  • Support other ad-hoc energy solutions-based workstreams where required
  • Team player with the intellectual rigour, attention to detail, and personality to command respect internally and externally

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experienced in:
    • Data analytics and a competent Excel user
    • Handling large quantities of numerical data
    • Handling client queries in a complex business environment
    • Client-facing communications
    • Previous and relevant industry knowledge

Personal Attributes

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, confident, and have a flexible approach to work. They will be customer-focused, passionate about energy efficiency and renewable energy. They should be able to demonstrate good organizational skills including the ability to multi-task, prioritize work under pressure, and complete within deadlines.

They must demonstrate that they are able to communicate with clients in a supportive and professional manner.
