Overview:
Coast Communications is looking for an experienced communications professional to join us as Client Services Director.

This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who enjoys building relationships, identifying opportunities, and helping organizations navigate complex conversations. As a senior ambassador for Coast, you will lead some of our most important client relationships, represent Coast externally, and play a key role in the future direction of our consultancy.

Working closely within the leadership group, you will help ensure clients receive exceptional service, identify opportunities for growth, and support the continued success of the business.

If you're equally comfortable advising senior clients, building new relationships, and rolling your sleeves up to get things done, we would love to hear from you.

The role
This role sits at the heart of our senior leadership team. You will focus on leading accounts, supporting business growth, and acting as one of the public faces of the consultancy, while working with our Director of Strategy and Media Director to ensure every client benefits from excellent communications consultancy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a portfolio of key and strategic client accounts.
  • Acting as a senior point of contact for clients and providing strategic communications advice and support.
  • Building trusted, long-term relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partner organizations.
  • Representing Coast and deputising for the Managing Director where required at client meetings, stakeholder events, public consultations, networking opportunities, and industry forums.
  • Travelling across the South West and wider UK to meet clients, stakeholders, and partners face-to-face.
  • Identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts and develop new business relationships.
  • Supporting and leading proposals, presentations, bids, and pitches.
  • Working with colleagues to ensure projects are well planned, commercially sound, and deliver an excellent client experience.
  • Chairing meetings, facilitating discussions, and maintaining strong relationships across client teams.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
