Description & Requirements

Bloomberg Broadway builds high-performance distributed systems that make the business of trading and financial assets easier, faster, safer, and more thoughtful for everyone involved. Our technology makes it simple to create, combine, and extend large-scale, high-performance intelligent systems in ways that were never before possible.

We’re looking for someone to be a part of a team of exceptional troubleshooters to support the fast-paced world of Fixed Income trading at some of the world's largest financial institutions. This is a unique opportunity to flex every ounce of technical muscle you have to enhance, debug, and fix trading systems that are responsible for billions of dollars of transactions a day.

This is your opportunity to be at the forefront of one of the most exciting areas in financial technology - electronic trading. It requires a uniquely focused, yet inquisitive personality that thrives on facing challenges head-on in new and unfamiliar environments. It also requires strong technical acumen across a range of Broadway products and industry standard technologies. You will be backed up by our premier team of developers and have an arsenal of diagnostic tools at your disposal.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
