Client Services Manager
Up to £50,000 + benefits | 4-day working week | Hybrid
We’re looking for an experienced Business Services Manager to join a growing professional services business, managing a portfolio of clients while supporting the development of the wider team.
This is a varied, client-facing role combining client management, accountancy, advisory and team leadership.
The Role
You’ll act as a trusted adviser to your clients, understanding their businesses and providing commercially focused financial advice, while ensuring work is delivered accurately and on time.
You’ll:
- Manage a portfolio of clients and act as their main point of contact
- Build strong, long-term client relationships
- Provide advice around tax planning, cash flow and business growth
- Prepare and review management accounts and VAT work
- Identify opportunities for additional services and advisory work
- Support the review of annual accounts alongside the Associate Partner
- Manage workflow and ensure deadlines are met
- Mentor and develop junior team members
- Act as a technical point of contact for the wider team
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Ensure high standards of compliance and client service

What We’re Looking For
You’ll be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with at least 5 years' experience within an accountancy practice.
You’ll bring:
- Strong experience managing a portfolio of clients
- Excellent client relationship and communication skills
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Commercial and advisory mindset
- Experience preparing and reviewing management accounts
- Good knowledge of tax and VAT
- Experience mentoring or managing junior staff
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A proactive approach to problem-solving

The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a strong client portfolio while becoming a genuine commercial adviser to your clients. You’ll have exposure to senior leadership, responsibility for developing junior team members and the opportunity to contribute to the growth of existing client relationships.
