We’re working with a growing technology-led business operating within the financial services sector to recruit an experienced Client Services Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in client services, customer operations, or onboarding who is looking to take ownership of a key client-facing function within a fast-paced, regulated environment.
The role will involve leading a small team while remaining hands-on with clients, overseeing onboarding and support activities, resolving more complex issues, and continuously improving the overall client experience.
Please note this role requires 3 days a week in their office in Newcastle Upon Tyne.
The Role
As Client Services Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring clients receive a consistently high level of service throughout their relationship with the business.
You’ll lead and develop the Client Services team while working closely with internal teams across Product, Technology, Sales, and Compliance.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading, coaching, and developing a small Client Services team
- Overseeing day-to-day client support and acting as an escalation point for more complex queries
- Taking an active role in onboarding key clients
- Delivering client onboarding sessions and user training where required
- Ensuring onboarding and support processes are efficient, consistent, and scalable
- Acting as a senior point of contact for key clients
- Gathering client feedback and identifying opportunities to improve the customer experience
- Working closely with Product teams to ensure client feedback contributes to future improvements
- Defining and monitoring KPIs across support and onboarding
- Identifying recurring issues, bottlenecks, and opportunities for operational improvement
- Managing team workloads, capacity, and resource planning
- Supporting relevant governance, audit, and regulatory requirements
- Setting clear objectives and development plans for team members
- Promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Some of the requirements:
- Strong experience within client services, client support, onboarding, or customer operations
- Previous experience leading, supervising, or managing a small team
- A hands-on approach and confidence dealing directly with clients
- Experience improving client-facing processes and service delivery
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- The ability to remain calm and solutions-focused in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive, commercially aware, and client-focused approach
- Experience within financial services, fintech, or another regulated environment would be particularly beneficial.
