Client Operations Specialist

We are looking for a Client Operations Specialist to join the Investec Save team and help deliver a responsive, fair and reliable service to our savings clients. Working within Banking Operations, you will support clients across a broad range of account, payment and onboarding queries while helping to protect them through effective controls, regulatory awareness and careful attention to detail.

This is a varied role for a natural problem-solver who enjoys taking ownership, working collaboratively and making a positive difference to the client experience. Alongside day-to-day client servicing, you will have the opportunity to identify trends and contribute to improvements across our processes, tools and products.

What will I be doing?

  • Provide first-line email support to clients and prospective clients, resolving a wide range of application, account and service queries.
  • Recognise when clients may be in vulnerable circumstances, establish the support they need and provide first-line telephone assistance where appropriate.
  • Investigate payment queries by working with clients and other banks to reach an effective resolution.
  • Identify, record and investigate complaints, ensuring they are managed efficiently and in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate client accounts and records, including changes relating to name updates and deceased estates.
  • Complete client, account and nostro reconciliations, including supporting the creation of a single client view for FSCS reporting.
  • Review applications that have not passed automated onboarding checks, including AML, KYC, sanctions, fraud, Onfido and linked-account checks.
  • Identify recurring client needs or areas of frustration and help improve processes, tools and products, while supporting wider Banking Operations activities when required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
