Client Solutions & Product Manager

About the Role

The Client Solutions & Product Manager role is central to Future Growth Capital’s mission to be the leading provider of multi-private assets solutions to the UK pensions market.

This role bridges critical functions to deliver pensions clients with tailored solutions, expertise, and content—enabling them to navigate private markets effectively. Working with key stakeholders including:

  • Schroders Client Group
  • Schroders Capital Marketing
  • Standard Life
  • Phoenix Group
  • FGC investment team

The role ensures FGC’s capabilities are effectively delivered to partners and clients globally.


Company Overview

Future Growth Capital (FGC) is a joint venture between:

  • Phoenix Group, the UK’s leading long-term savings and retirement business
  • Schroders, the UK’s leading asset manager

Based at 1 London Wall Place, FGC operates with two core focuses:

  • Multi-private asset solutions: Unlocking global private markets for UK pension savers through bespoke strategies, direct deal capabilities, and external manager selection.
  • Mission: Contribute to the Mansion House Compact and Accord by improving retirement outcomes through higher investment returns and economic growth.

Key Responsibilities

Core Duties

Develop and execute client-centric solutions across multiple engagement areas:

  • Client Facing Materials: Pitchbooks, sales aids, RFPs, Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs), data room preparation, and market research.
  • Thought Leadership: Contributing to, and coordinating, white papers.
  • Client Engagement: Direct interactions with pension consultants, schemes, and trustees—both in-person and virtually—at conferences and through online engagements.
  • Team Collaboration: Defining FGC’s capabilities to the Standard Life business, including sales teams, pension proposition teams, marketing, and PR teams.
  • Representative Activities: Preparing high-quality presentations, proposals, and reports—written and verbal—for stakeholder committees, regulators, consultants, and clients.
  • Client Onboarding: Maintaining relationships through periodic reviews and updates.
  • Regulatory & Operational Oversight: Staying updated on UK pensions industry trends and policy changes in private markets.
  • Project Coordination: Working with investment teams, legal, and client directors to implement and monitor solutions aligned with mandates.

Experience & Qualifications

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Education Requirement: Degree-level qualification or equivalent.
  • Professional Qualifications: Progress can be made toward or independently held (CFA, CAIA, MBA).
  • Client Engagement: Hands-on experience working directly with pension schemes, trustee committees, and institutional investors.
  • Regulatory Context: Familiarity with UK pension-specific frameworks and institutional investor regulations.
  • Industry Knowledge: Prior involvement with top-tier asset managers, consultancies, or investment banks is highly regarded.
