Job Purpose
Directly responsible for driving a new National Lottery Community Fund project (Climate Minds NI) from rollout, delivering promotion and participant recruitment sessions across Northern Ireland, designing and delivering group workshops and seminars, managing and reporting impact along with key relationships. Work closely with a wide range of partners.
Hours of Business
- Flexible business hours: 8am-6pm.
- Core hours: 10am-4pm.
- Hybrid working policy: 2 days in Belfast office per week.

Purpose of Role
The Climate Minds NI Project Manager is a new role in Live Here Love Here, responsible for the delivery of this exciting, new and unique project in Northern Ireland.
Live Here Love Here’s ‘Climate Minds NI’ project has received a long-term commitment from the National Lottery Community Fund to support communities across the UK to act on climate change and involve more people in positive environmental action.
As part of a partnership arrangement between Live Here Love Here, acting as lead partner, and Inspire Wellbeing, the project will give under-represented groups a say in what climate action means for them. This will include supporting individuals experiencing mental ill health, intellectual disabilities, and addiction, by connecting them with climate action staff and volunteers.
The project will establish 16 climate action groups across Northern Ireland. Through these groups, excluded communities will be empowered to codesign climate solutions, strengthen their mental wellbeing, and advance climate justice for underrepresented groups.
The Climate Minds Project Manager will be part of the Community Engagement team in Live Here Love Here. They will be directly responsible for driving the project from rollout, delivering promotion and participant recruitment sessions across Northern Ireland, supporting the design and delivery of workshops and seminars and then managing the project’s impact. They will manage the key relationships with Inspire, the National Lottery funder, and a monitoring and evaluation partner. They will be required to bring on board and maintain strong relationships with a range of topic delivery partners in Northern Ireland.

Duties and Expected Outcomes
- Managing & implementing Climate Minds partnership project plan
- Key point of liaison with National Lottery & Inspire
- Build policies and processes for the project, including to manage the project’s discretionary spending
- Support selection of and regular engagement with the external project evaluator
- Identify and manage relationships with other delivery partners
- Coordinate with Comms team to implement and integrate the project on myEARTH
- Coordinate with Inspire to advertise the project for under-represented groups
- Hold market & stakeholder engagement sessions with Comms support
- Organise and support delivery 16 climate action groups (with up to 20 participants/group) across 11 Councils
- Manage the budget for each of the 16 climate action groups
- Regular contact with Inspire Workshop Facilitators
- Managing delivery of end-of-year annual symposiums, showcasing the achievements of the project, sharing best practice and supporting the key themes of the project.
- Coordinating Field Officer and other Live Here Love Here staff support at workshops
- Manage expenses of participants
- Secretariat and reporting for the project’s Governance and Oversight committees
- Liaising with National Lottery on reporting expectations and delivery
- Other - fulfill other duties for Live Here Love Here as required on occasion
Person Specification
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Educated to Degree level or 3 years relevant experience
- 2 years project management/coordination experience
- Minimum 1 year experience of delivery of workshops
- Minimum 1 year experience of external partnership management
- Developed ICT skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, with Excel experience
- Full current driving licence with access to a suitable means of transport to enable you to carry out the duties and responsibilities.
Desirable:
- Project management qualification
- Experience of working in the voluntary sector
- Experience of working with under-represented groups
Knowledge & Understanding

General
The work will be largely field-based, with a requirement to travel NI-wide, they can also work from our office in Belfast, a minimum of 2 days per week and may work from home the rest of the week. They will work in a collaborative manner with all other Live Here Love Here team members.

IT support and hardware is provided for all staff to enable them to be efficient and effective in their work.
Live Here Love Here operates flexible office hours between 8am and 6pm, with core hours between 10am and 4pm. Your normal days of work will be Monday to Friday, but given the nature of the work, this role requires flexibility to support communities at their pace and will involve some evening and weekend working. Flexibility for this is vital and time-in-lieu will be offered in return.
This position is funded through the National Lottery Community Fund.
