ABOUT LONDON CARTILAGE CLINIC
London Cartilage Clinic is a specialist centre dedicated to helping patients preserve, repair and regenerate their joints. Led by Professor Paul Lee, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and Medical Engineer, we combine specialist clinical expertise, advanced diagnostics and innovative treatments to create highly personalised treatment plans.
Based on Harley Street, we care for patients from across the UK and internationally. Alongside our clinical work, the wider team is involved in a growing portfolio of projects spanning healthcare innovation, research, education, events and brand development.
We are looking for an organised, proactive and capable Associate to support the clinical, administrative and operational running of the clinic, while also contributing to these wider projects.
THE ROLE
Working closely with our Practice and Operations Manager and clinical team, you will support patients throughout their journey from initial enquiry and consultation through to treatment and follow-up.
This is a varied role combining clinical assistance, patient coordination and clinic administration. You will also contribute to our social media and marketing activity and support additional projects led by the wider team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical support:
- Prepare consultation and procedure rooms
- Assist clinicians during examinations and outpatient procedures
- Prepare equipment, consumables and sterile supplies
- Support patients before, during and after procedures
- Take and record basic patient observations where appropriate
- Ensure relevant consent forms and clinical documentation are prepared
- Record treatment and product information accurately
- Provide approved pre- and post-procedure information
- Maintain high standards of infection control, confidentiality and clinical organisation
- Monitor clinical stock, supplies and expiry dates

Patient coordination and clinic administration:
- Respond to patient enquiries by telephone, email and WhatsApp
- Coordinate consultations, procedures and follow-up appointments
- Provide clear information about appointments, imaging, treatments and next steps
- Request and organise imaging, reports and other relevant medical information
- Prepare clinic lists and ensure the required documentation is available
- Assist with referrals, consultation letters, invoices and patient correspondence
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
- Communicate with hospitals, imaging providers and other healthcare professionals
- Support international patients with virtual consultations and treatment planning
- Follow up on outstanding actions to help ensure a smooth patient pathway
- Support clinic schedules, stock ordering and general administration
Marketing and additional projects:
London Cartilage Clinic has a strong and growing online presence. As part of the role, you will help maintain this and support our wider marketing activity.
This may include:
- Assisting with social media planning and scheduling
- Writing captions and preparing educational content
- Supporting the creation of short-form videos
- Creating simple graphics and carousels
- Helping with website updates, newsletters and marketing campaigns
- Supporting additional healthcare, education, event and business projects
- Assisting with research, presentations and project coordination
- Liaising with external partners, suppliers and creatives

ABOUT YOU
You will be professional, compassionate and confident communicating with patients. You should be able to manage multiple responsibilities, use your initiative and follow tasks through to completion.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a clinical, healthcare or patient-facing environment
- Confidence assisting with patient procedures
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- An understanding of patient confidentiality and infection control
- A professional, proactive and reliable approach
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and general digital systems
- The ability to work independently and as part of a small team
Desirable:
- A degree in a science or healthcare discipline
- Previous training and demonstrated competency in phlebotomy and intravenous cannulation
- Confidence using AI tools or a willingness to learn how to use them effectively
- Experience with social media, Canva, video editing or content creation
- An interest in regenerative medicine, healthcare innovation and emerging technologies
