Clinic Manager - Belfast Clinic
At Optilase, we've helped hundreds of thousands of patients achieve life-changing vision correction — and we're looking for an exceptional Clinic Manager in our Belfast Clinic to lead our stunning, state-of-the-art Clinic in our Belfast Location. This is a senior, high-impact role where your leadership will directly shape the patient experience, clinic performance, and team culture.
About the Role
As Clinic Manager, you'll be the operational part of our Belfast Clinic. You'll own everything from client relationships and diary management to team leadership, KPI performance, and patient experience — ensuring every patient receives a seamless, world-class journey from consultation to post-op care.
This is a role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment, leads with confidence, and brings both commercial sharpness and genuine care for people.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Operations & Scheduling
- Drive smooth day-to-day clinic operations, maximising appointment capacity and surgical throughput for IOL and Laser lists
- Manage diaries proactively, pulling forward appointments and eliminating gaps to ensure full utilisation
- Liaise with surgeons, the Surgery Manager, and COO to keep surgical lists running at peak efficiency

Leadership & People Management
- Lead, mentor and inspire a multidisciplinary team including Patient Services Managers and Optometrists
- Own recruitment, onboarding, rostering, holiday management and staff development
- Foster a culture of accountability, positivity and continuous improvement through regular feedback and appraisals
Commercial Performance
- Monitor and drive key KPIs including consultation conversion rates, patient attendance, and re-engagement of prospective patients
- Deliver daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly performance reporting to Senior Management
- Coach optometrists and patient services staff to consistently meet and exceed conversion targets
Patient Experience & Reputation
- Take ownership of complaint resolution, ensuring every patient concern is handled with empathy and efficiency
- Champion clinic reputation through Google reviews and word-of-mouth advocacy
- Maintain Optilase's JCI accreditation standards in partnership with the COO and Compliance Manager
Compliance, Finance & Safety
- Ensure full compliance with all regulatory and governing body requirements
- Manage cash handling, lodgements, petty cash and invoice approval
- Implement and uphold Optilase's Health & Safety Policy for staff, patients and visitors

What We're Looking For
Experience
- Proven background in clinic, healthcare, or operations management
- Track record of hitting commercial targets and managing KPIs in a fast-paced environment
- Experience managing and developing multidisciplinary teams
- Stakeholder management at a senior level
- RQIA Experience
Skills & Personal Qualities
- A natural leader who motivates and gets the best out of people
- Commercially minded with strong analytical ability
- Excellent communicator — confident with surgeons, staff, and patients alike
- Highly organised with the ability to juggle competing priorities
- Solutions-focused, calm under pressure, and always professional
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with clinic management systems a plus
