The role
The Doctors Practice is a doctor-led, CQC-registered private GP and aesthetics clinic in Edgbaston, Birmingham.
We are looking for a warm, confident and commercially minded Clinic Receptionist/Patient Coordinator with previous relevant experience who can provide excellent patient care, convert suitable enquiries into bookings and take ownership of reception and clinic administration.
Key responsibilities
- Welcome patients and provide an excellent reception experience.
- Manage telephone, email and online enquiries promptly and professionally.
- Proactively follow up enquiries and convert suitable interest into consultations, treatments and appointments.
- Explain services, prices and booking processes clearly, referring clinical questions to a practitioner.
- Manage diaries, confirmations, cancellations, payments and confidential patient records.
- Complete general reception and clinic administrative duties.
- Promote clinic services and products appropriately and assist with social media and marketing when needed.
- Undertake phlebotomy if appropriately trained and assessed as competent.
- Help maintain a clean, tidy and hygienic clinic environment.

Essential requirements
- Excellent spoken and written communication with a confident, professional telephone manner.
- Relevant experience in aesthetics, private healthcare, a private medical or dental practice, medical or clinic reception, patient services, or consultative sales within a premium appointment-based service.
- Experience following up enquiries and converting interest into bookings or sales.
- A caring, patient-centred approach with strong commercial awareness.
- Excellent organisation, reliability, attention to detail and willingness to take ownership.
- Good computer skills and an understanding of confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Desirable
- Experience in a CQC-regulated clinic.
- Phlebotomy training and recent competency.
- Knowledge of private GP services, aesthetics or professional skincare.
- Social-media or content-creation skills.
- Occasional Saturday availability by prior agreement.
