Clinical Administrator – Forward Leeds - Irford House

Location: Irford House, Seacroft Crescent, Seacroft, Leeds, LS14 6PA.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am till 5pm.

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: £25,877.80 - £28,453.69

An exciting opportunity for a full-time clinical administrator based within our Forward Leeds team at Irford House. This is a diverse and rewarding role working closely with our clinical team providing clinical admin services, data management and support to the clinical team. The roles will be based at our Seacroft hub, but with an expectation to cover and work across all of our three sites within Leeds when needed. Experience of using SystmOne is desirable but not essential.

Some of the key duties you will undertake are:

  • Prepare prescriptions strictly adhering to protocol and procedure using SystmOne.
  • Management of daily clinical tasks and prescription queries through SystmOne.
  • Manage clinical checks to ensure compliance to CQC standards.
  • Generate and send GP letters
  • Clinical room checks and stock control and ordering of stock.
  • Manage calibration of on-site clinical equipment

Please note: The salary listed reflects the full earning potential for this role. Starting salaries depend on experience and progression within the band.

About the Role

Forward Leeds is a city-wide drug and alcohol service that supports adults, young people and families affected by substance use across Leeds. Based at Irford House, Seacroft Crescent, Leeds, you'll be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering assessment, treatment, prescribing, harm reduction and recovery services across the city.

As a Clinical Administrator, you'll provide essential administrative support to the clinical team, helping to ensure that services are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with clinical and regulatory requirements. You'll work closely with clinicians, prescribers and recovery teams, managing clinical records, supporting prescription processes and maintaining accurate information within clinical systems, including SystmOne.

Success in this role means delivering a high standard of administrative support while maintaining excellent attention to detail, confidentiality and professionalism. You'll be organised, adaptable and able to manage competing priorities while contributing to a service that supports people throughout their recovery journey.

What You'll Do

  • Support the clinical team by providing high-quality administrative support across a range of clinical services.
  • Manage daily clinical tasks and prescription queries using SystmOne in line with established policies and procedures.
  • Prepare clinical documentation, including GP letters, prescriptions and other service-related correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records while ensuring compliance with data protection and clinical governance requirements.
  • Complete clinical checks to support compliance with regulatory standards, including CQC requirements.
  • Support the management of clinical equipment, including stock control, ordering and equipment calibration.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across multiple sites to ensure the effective delivery of clinical services.

To Succeed in This Role, You'll Need:

  • Previous experience in an administrative, healthcare administration or clinical support role.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • An understanding of confidentiality, information governance and professional boundaries.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications and electronic record management systems; experience using SystmOne would be advantageous.
  • A flexible and collaborative approach, with a willingness to learn and develop within the role.
