Agfa HealthCare - Clinical Applications Specialist (PACS / RIS / VNA)

Agfa HealthCare is looking for a talented Clinical Applications Specialist (PACS / RIS / VNA) to join our team. The Application Specialist will provide project related analysis, workflow concepts, configuration and training services as well as go-live support on all Agfa delivered products.

In this role you will hold site specific responsibility and will develop a relationship with those sites to improve individual and hospital wide use and optimisation of the Agfa solutions. This role also performs troubleshooting activities, and partake in day-to-day management of customer expectations within National and private health services within Europe North. Also included are activities involved with sales such as involvement in tenders and demonstrations. Activities associated with service management such as case investigation and resolution. Adherence to processes is vital as well as contribution to documentation evolvement, process improvement and standardisation.

These position is field based throughout our Europe North region (UK, Ireland, Belgium, Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark).

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct clinical and interface workflow analyses along with specific Integration Agfa colleagues.
  • Discuss and design workflows of solution and product options and choices in line with contract specification and statement of work with customer and third-party user requirements as required.
  • Configure and customize product and solution managing customer expectations along with the request and control of customer’s obligation to cooperate.
  • Draw-up training and implementation concepts and deliver training to customers and Agfa employees both on and off site.
  • Go-live support on-site for new and upgraded solutions (out of hours where applicable).
  • Respect project budget to obtain billable days and document/communicate according to project and Team guidelines.
  • Accountability for timely implementation and high-quality implementation of a product/solution according to Agfa HE best practice procedures.
  • Fault evaluation of product/solution including remote and on-site visits as well as specific site responsibility where directed.
  • Sales related work, involving tenders and demonstrations as well as attendance of conferences etc.
  • Adherence to the ITIL framework.
  • Accountability for being knowledgeable and up to date on latest Agfa Healthcare solutions and competitors’ products & solutions.
  • Other application duties as deemed appropriate.

  • Broad technological expertise in PACS/RIS radiology workflow.
  • Excellent knowledge of workflow within a hospital/clinical environment.
  • Thorough understanding of radiology clinical applications.
  • Working knowledge of DICOM and HL7 standards and interactions.
  • Strong ability to develop and deliver end-user training in a classroom, on site and virtual web-based training methodologies.
  • Excellent planning skills and self-discipline to work with limited supervision.
  • Strong team working and communication skills.
  • Excellent training and presentation abilities.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational proficiencies.
  • Superior customer advocacy/satisfaction skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Education:

Ideally a BSc or DCR trained Radiographer with some PACS/RIS Administrative experience in a clinical setting.

Experience:

  • Prior experience with AGFA PACS/RIS is required for this role.
  • Experience as a PACS/RIS System Administrator.
  • Experience as a technical/applications trainer.

Additional Requirements:

  • Strong technical aptitude mixed with a solid clinical hospital background.
  • Regular travel, some overtime work required at time.
  • Strong communication skills, troubleshooting skills and able to self-direct.
