Opportunity to Join Our West Older Adult Community Mental Health Team
We are offering an opportunity to join our West Older Adult Community Mental Health Team - based at Park House, Cannock as a Clinical Associate in Psychology.
About the Role
Working in a skilled and motivated older adult community mental health team that values a range of interventions and support to help people in their recovery journey. You will be joining 12 other psychological professionals within the team, including qualified psychologists, CAPs, a Trainee CBT therapist and Assistant Psychologists. There is regular clinical supervision, therapy specific supervision including CFT, EMDR, and a commitment to training. The post holder would also have the opportunity to be involved in research, service evaluation and delivery.

This post is full-time, Monday to Friday.
Main Duties of the Job
You will be responsible for the assessment of care needs, including risk, and contributing to; the formulation of the person’s needs and the development of a relevant plan based upon the person’s negotiated goals and relevant evidence-based interventions.
As part of this role, you will be:
- Key-working of an identified caseload with access to regular and robust supervision.
- Delivering assessment, formulation and psychologically informed interventions, in accordance with an agreed care plan, to service users experiencing a wide range of mental health difficulties. Interventions are primarily individual but may include groups in the future.
- Delivering a high-quality service to service users and their families as part of a collaborative and supportive team.
- In conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team, provide interventions to support the person to meet their agreed goals and coordinate and/or participate in the review of progress towards those goals, utilising recommended outcome measures, involving the service user and any identified carer throughout the clinical pathway.
- Involved in the roll out of psychological interventions training such as our Supporting Wellbeing Programme. You may be involved in undertaking audits and service evaluations. You will be a valued member of the team.
