Clinical Consultant – Radiology Informatics (PACS) Job Description
About the Role
As a clinical consultant in Philips’ Radiology Informatics organization, you’ll play a key role in coordinating and implementing critical activities, including:
- Application configuration
- User training
- Product commercialization
- Trade show support
- Product demonstrations
- Call escalation handling
- System workflow integration
Core Responsibilities
Join a fast-growing, expert Informatics Team and help drive innovation in healthcare delivery.
- Deliver PACS solutions by providing application consultation and workflow expertise across a global install base.
- Support our Radiology Informatics Northern Europe Team, collaborating closely within both service and sales environments.
- Report directly to the Clinical Consultant Implementation Leader for Northern Europe.
- Balance local UKI customer support with occasional international travel across Europe (up to 70% fieldwork within UK/Ireland) as needed.
Key Accountabilities
- Workforce configuration: Lead project teams in configuring clinical workflows for VUE PACS installations.
- Training & accountability: Develop and deliver training programs for clinical users; oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and go-live phases.
- Defect resolution: Own clinical UI and workflow defect escalations; mentor customers in system maintenance.
- Documentation & handover: Capture as-built workflows and facilitate smooth transitions to service teams.
- Product development: Participate in designing new solutions and functionalities for Philips applications.

Requirements
How You Fit
You’re the perfect candidate if you meet one of these qualification paths:
- Bachelor’s degree + 2+ years of relevant experience or
- Vocational qualification + 4+ years of relevant experience.
Preferred Education A clinical background in:
- Radiography
- Radiotherapy
- Medical Imaging
- Clinical Science and Technology.
Essential Experience
- Direct radiology department experience with strong understanding of radiology workflows.
- Hands-on expertise with PACS systems.
- Licensed radiographer or experience as a PACS administrator (highly desirable).
- Proven track record in application training and/or consulting.
Technical & Behavioral Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Products and IT troubleshooting.
- Fluent English with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Highly adaptable, collaborative, and adept at relationship management.
- Valid driving license with flexibility to travel internationally as required.
