Job Overview
We are looking for a compassionate and skilled clinical/counselling psychologist to join our award-winning Trust-wide Staff Psychology Team at North Bristol NHS Trust as part of maternity cover. The post-holder will work as part of the Staff Psychology team, providing psychologically-informed support to colleagues and team-based interventions across our organisation. Although the post is an 8a role, we would also welcome applications from those suitable for, and seeking a band 7 role. This is to cover a secondment so will be for 12 months initially.
The Staff Psychology Team provides a range of responsive and as well as proactive support to colleagues across our Trust. The service has a particular ethos in supporting relational and team wellbeing, recognising that wellbeing and resilience are often more helpfully seen as being fostered by connections between us, not just qualities within us. The service values innovation, and the post holder will work within the team, and with key partners in other services, to co-develop and deliver interventions in response to challenges and needs of our colleagues working in different contexts.
Main Duties of the Job
The post holder is expected to have a level of professional training and experience to independently prioritise and manage their clinical/nonclinical workload, and complete assessments and interventions without the need for close clinical supervision. The post holder is personally accountable for their clinical decisions and is required to attend and make good use of clinical supervision arranged within the service, as well as accessing ad hoc supervision and peer support where required.

- Doctorate in clinical/counselling psychology (or qualifying shortly)
- Experience of directly supporting the wellbeing of staff and teams
- Personal statement tailored to the role and service
Desirable Criteria
- Specialist post-qualification training in trauma-focused work
- Post-qualification experience in Staff Psychology service
