Join Op Courage, the NHS specialist service for veterans, as we expand our dynamic therapy team.

We are seeking a committed and compassionate clinical/counselling psychologist or psychological therapist to help us provide high-quality, evidence-based care to ex-armed forces personnel.

Our service provides timely access to trauma-informed, recovery-focused interventions tailored to the needs of those who have served.

You will work within a small, supportive team compromising psychologists, psychological therapists, psychiatrists, peer support workers, and clinical nurse specialists, delivering care across a range of presentations including PTSD, complex trauma, depression, anxiety, and substance misuse.

This role will cover the Kent locality and be initially based at Canterbury Hospital.

  • Deliver psychological assessments, formulations, and interventions in line with NICE guidelines.
  • Offer specialist trauma-focused therapy e.g., EMDR, TF-CBT where qualified.
  • Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting, contributing to care planning and clinical reviews.
  • Provide clinical supervision to junior team members and trainees.
  • Contribute to service development and evaluation initiatives.
