About the Role
At Cancer Research UK, we exist to beat cancer.
Cancer Research UK (CRUK) are looking for a Clinical Data Manager to join our team within our Centre for Drug Development (CDD) on a 24-month fixed term contract.
CDD is the sponsor of early phase and precision medicine clinical trials in oncology agents. Our broad portfolio rivals that of a medium-sized pharmaceutical company, spanning antibodies, cell therapies, vaccines, drug conjugates and small molecules, making this an interesting and dynamic area to work in. It is an exciting time for CDD as we’re expanding our teams to move forward with an ambitious new strategy to maximise the impact of our research to benefit patients. Several teams are hiring new roles to make this new strategy a reality, expanding the size of our project portfolio and bringing in new skills as we work more internationally.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Clinical Data Manager, with a keen interest in the field of Oncology, to join a small team made up of 8 Data Management professionals. This will allow you to work on DETERMINE, our multi-drug, precision medicine platform trial in rare cancers, recruiting both adults and children.
What will I be doing?
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
