Provides governance and assurance of all clinical coaching. Accountable for driving clinical standards and quality within their benefit/contract. Ensuring calibration and consistency across new entrant and experienced Health Professional standards, acting as an escalation point for clinical priorities beyond operational remit.

Focused on proactive assurance, calibration, and governance of coaching standards delivered by Clinical Support Coaches. Leveraging MI trend analysis and insights from audit and clinical content developers to shape coaching priorities and embed best practice.

Working closely with Operational Delivery Managers to ensure appropriate clinical oversight to any initiatives/projects. Acting as clinical SMEs as required across the business.

Accountabilities

  • Provides clinical governance and assurance - ensures all clinical coaching activities adhere to established standards, policies, and governance frameworks within the assigned Lot and benefit area.
  • Drives clinical standards and quality - leads initiatives to maintain and improve clinical standards across new entrants and experienced Health Professionals (HPs), ensuring consistency and calibration.
  • Acts as an escalation point for clinical priorities - serves as the primary clinical escalation contact for issues beyond operational remit, providing expert guidance and resolution.
  • Oversees coaching calibration and consistency - ensures alignment and consistency in coaching standards delivered by Clinical Support Coaches, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Monitors and analyses performance data – Utilises appropriate MI (including audit insights, quality dashboards, and other information as available) to shape lot wide coaching priorities, and embed best practices.
  • Collaborates and works closely with Operational Managers/Leaders to provide clinical oversight for initiatives, projects, and process improvements, ensuring clinical integrity.
  • Acts as Clinical Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing expert clinical input across the business as required, supporting decision-making and strategic initiatives.
  • Provides governance of all HP support helplines, ensuring these are used appropriately, calls are logged as needed, and the helpline usage is in line with company standards.

Essential

  • Qualified health professional with current registration/license to practice and continuous professional development compliance.
  • Competent Disability Analyst in relevant benefit type, maintained approval and consistent performance in key role responsibilities.
  • Worked as a competent Clinical Support Coach for a minimum of 1 year.
  • Proven experience as a coach and mentor, providing sensitive but robust constructive feedback, driving evidenced based quality improvement with positive outcomes.
  • Approval and consistent performance in key approval tasks (PIP/WCA/SB).
  • Able to deliver productivity and quality standards agreed between the Maximus and the Department.

Desirable

  • Management experience.
  • Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team and build positive working relationships with both clinical, operational and support services.
