Clinical Deputy Manager – Manor Court Care Home

Location: Britten Drive, North Road, Southall, Middlesex, UB1 2SH Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience) Hours: Permanent – 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday), with occasional night visits or weekend work as required Welcome Bonus: £2,000*

We make health happen. At Bupa, we provide care that helps individuals live their best lives through independence, choice, and dignity. As Clinical Deputy Manager at Manor Court Care Home, you’ll lead and support the nursing and care team to deliver exceptional person-centred care.

You’ll be the difference in these ways:

  • Oversee and contribute to nursing care, activities, and resident welfare
  • Create, update, and maintain individual care plans while ensuring accurate medication records
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels through effective rota management
  • Provide clinical guidance, mentoring, and day-to-day support to promote independence and quality of life
  • Build trusting relationships with residents, families, and local partners
  • Collaborate with external partners to enhance the care home’s reputation and community impact

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership & Care Delivery

  • Manage and mentor nursing staff, ensuring NMC Standards are upheld and residents receive high-quality, compassionate care
  • Develop and implement evidence-based care plans, focusing on tissue viability, infection control, and dignity
  • Maintain up-to-date medication records and pharmacy liaisions to ensure safe administration

Staff & Operational Management

  • Rotation planning to maintain optimal staffing coverage and workload balance
  • Delegate effectively to support team development while maintaining service standards
  • Promote a culture of empathy and professionalism within the team

  • Listen and engage with residents and their families to understand and respect their preferences
  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive community in the care home
  • Advocate for independence and choice through personalised care pathways

External Relations & Development

  • Partner with local healthcare providers, GPs, and counselling services to enhance care coordination
  • Boost the care home’s community profile through outreach and collaboration

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC Pin
  • Commitment to the NMC Code of Conduct and ongoing professional development
  • Strong understanding of person-centred care, focusing on independence, choice, and dignity
  • Up-to-date knowledge of:
    • Tissue viability
    • Infection control protocols
    • Care planning best practices
  • Exceptional communication skills to build trust with residents and families
  • Leadership ability to:
    • Mentor staff
    • Delegate effectively
    • Provide clinical guidance
  • Time management skills to prioritise tasks while maintaining health and safety compliance
