Director of Care Quality & Registered Manager – Horsfall House
Location: Minchinhampton, Gloucestershire
Salary: £60,000-£70,000 per annum

Our client, Horsfall House, is an award-winning, not-for-profit nursing home, day centre and home care provider based in the beautiful Cotswold town of Minchinhampton. With a reputation for delivering outstanding, person-centred care to older people, including those living with dementia and complex care needs, Horsfall House has been serving its community for over 30 years and remains deeply rooted in its charitable values and local heritage.
Following the retirement of a highly respected long-serving colleague, Horsfall House is seeking to appoint an exceptional Director of Care Quality & Registered Manager to join its senior leadership team and lead the quality, safety and culture of its Nursing and Dementia Units, Day Centre and Home Care services.
This role requires an inspiring and values-led clinical leader who can combine strategic oversight with visible operational leadership, you will champion outstanding care standards, lead regulatory compliance and quality improvement programmes, and support colleagues to deliver consistently safe, compassionate and person-centred services. Working closely with the CEO, Trustees and operational leaders, you will play a central role in shaping the future of the organisation while maintaining a strong connection to frontline care delivery.

For this role we are keen to hear from candidates with:
- Significant senior leadership experience within adult social care, nursing care or healthcare settings
- Experience as a Registered Manager or in an equivalent senior leadership role
- Proven success leading CQC-regulated services through inspection and quality improvement initiatives
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, clinical governance, risk management and regulatory compliance
- Experience leading organisational change and developing high-performing teams
- A track record of coaching and supporting managers and clinical leaders
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
- The ability to balance strategic thinking with a compassionate, hands-on leadership style
