CLINICAL DIRECTOR – COMPLEX CARE
Greenstaff & Clinical24
Location: England | Hybrid / Field-based
Greenstaff and Clinical24 are part of ICG Medical, an international healthcare business with a growing portfolio of complex care and community-based services.
As our complex care services continue to develop, we are looking for an experienced Clinical Director – Complex Care to provide senior, hands-on clinical leadership across both businesses.
This is not a purely strategic or corporate clinical role. The successful candidate will remain close to service delivery, working directly with clients, families, nurses and care teams to ensure complex packages are assessed, mobilised and delivered safely and to a consistently high standard.
The role will work closely with Operations, Mobilisation and Compliance, with professional accountability into the Chief Nurse.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight across complex care packages.
- Undertake and support clinical assessments, care planning and risk assessment.
- Ensure appropriate clinical input is in place before new packages are accepted and mobilised.
- Support mobilisation of new complex care services and ensure clinical readiness prior to go-live.
- Lead on clinical competency, delegation, supervision and development of nurses and care teams.
- Visit clients and services regularly to maintain strong clinical oversight and support delivery teams.
- Review incidents, complaints and clinical concerns, ensuring learning is translated into improved practice.
- Work closely with Operations, Compliance and Mobilisation to ensure services are safe, effective and operationally deliverable.
- Support continuous improvement, clinical governance and CQC readiness across complex care services.
- Provide practical clinical leadership and intervention where services or packages require additional support.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
