Position Summary
The Clinical Director, International reports to the Vice President, Global Clinical Affairs, MedTech Solutions Group and is responsible for the development, implementation, and delivery of clinical and sales education training programs for all MedTech Solutions Group customers with a primary focus on the EMEA region (notwithstanding any geographical re-alignments to the region).
This role provides leadership to regional Clinical Service Provider (CSP) team members including recruitment, training, field assignments and performance management. It also requires active engagement with key opinion leaders (KOLs) within the region to support clinical data generation, as well as development of posters and publications, and to provide clinical leadership during international and regional/local conferences.
The ideal candidate will possess broad and advanced clinical expertise with strong critical thinking and the ability to apply clinical knowledge across diverse care settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, train, manage and lead the MTSG Clinical Service Provider (CSP) team.
- Develop, deliver and assign clinical and sales training programs for field clinical team members and distributors, including:
- Distributor and customer education (in-person workshops, virtual and webinar-based)
- Learning Management System (LMS) program oversight, including content development, updates and distribution
- Provide clinical consultation and treatment guidance to global customers.
- Lead and coordinate product evaluations and coverage processes for prospective accounts.
- Close collaboration with international KOLs, professional societies and leading centres in wound care related disciplines aligned with MTSG client portfolios.
- Participate in the organisation and execution of regional and national conference activities supported by MTSG clients.
- Solicit, develop and present abstracts, posters, and related clinical/scientific content at regional and national meetings; prepare post-conference reports.
- Provide clinical expertise and support to advisory boards, educational activities, and clinical studies as needed.
- Maintain and submit accurate business records, monthly reports, and key contact data
- Collect regulatory complaint information to the VP of Global Clinical Affairs in compliance with reporting requirements.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), responding to ad hoc inquiries from colleagues, business partners, and clinicians regarding the product portfolio and therapy areas MTSG operates in.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in nursing.
- At least 10 years experience in advanced wound care; with evidence of study at an advanced level resulting in an internationally recognised wound accreditation.
- At least 8 years of developing and providing basic and advanced clinical education.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Fluent in English and preferably another European language (ideally German or Spanish).
- Ability to navigate many differing health care systems when providing knowledge and support.
- Comprehensive understanding of EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR 2017/745), including clinical evaluation requirements, post-market clinical follow-up (PMCF), and vigilance reporting procedures.
- Understanding of the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in clinical practice among global clinicians, providers, distributors, and MTSG clients.
- Excellent virtual presentation skills (in Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and similar platforms).
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, with solid communication skills.
- Ability to align the company’s strategic objectives with business needs.
- Experience supporting and managing clinical activities across multiple regions.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams toward shared goals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage effectively at all levels of the organisation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong understanding of clinical operations, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements.
