Exciting Opportunity for a Clinical Education Fellow
We're thrilled to announce a brand-new opportunity for a LTFT (16 hours per week) fixed term Clinical Education Fellow post. Ideally, the successful candidate will have an interest in General Practice.

Role Overview
This role is tailor-made to support undergraduate teaching, offering a unique chance to shape the future of medical education. You'll be teaching medical students in the dynamic hospital environment while also providing mentorship to aspiring doctors. From phase 1 bedside teaching to phase 2 curriculum and assessment activities, you'll cover a wide array of topics, ensuring a diverse and engaging experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitating medical student bedside teaching
- Assisting with simulation training
- Planning student activities
- Delivering diverse teaching methods to undergraduates
- Engaging with high-tech simulation equipment
- Contributing to assessment and evaluation processes
- Collaborating with the wider medical education team
- Providing pastoral care for students
- Involvement in research projects
- Networking and attendance at educational events

Essential Qualifications
- Medicine Degree
- GMC registration with a licence to practice
- Two years post registration experience in an acute trust
- Knowledge of teaching and programme development
- Proficiency in the 23 GMC practical skills and procedures
- Strong IT ability
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills
Continuous Professional Development
- Engagement in audit and governance activities
