Clinical Educator - Emergency Department
We are looking for an exceptional registered nurse to join us as a Clinical Educator working in ED at the Royal Derby Hospital.
About the Role
The ED education team takes responsibility for and is accountable for the delegated professional, practice development, and education within the nursing team.

Who We Are Looking For
We welcome applications from motivated and dedicated Registered Nurses with an interest in education and preceptorship and who show evidence of high standards of practice for supporting safe & professional patient care in the emergency setting. We particularly welcome applications from individuals who have recent clinical experience within an acute hospital setting and experience of teaching & supporting various levels of learners.

What We Offer
The successful candidates will work in the Emergency department as part of the Clinical Education Team, and will be jointly line managed by our Senior Clinical Educator and senior sister team in ED.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate new and existing staff members in becoming competent and capable practitioners by teaching, supervising, and mentoring in the clinical setting.
- Work independently and collaboratively in the coordination and delivery of development activities, mandatory, essential to role, and specialist clinical training.
- Collaborate with the dynamic wider teams in Learning & Education and the Senior Clinical Educator for ED.
Requirements
- Evidence that you are capable of working in a fast-paced, busy acute environment.
- Demonstrable experience in teaching, mentoring, and educating others.
- Work clinically within the Registered Nursing team when required.
