Clinical exercise physiologist / Specialist exercise professional / Physiotherapist with an interest in clinical exercise

Hours

Part time or full-time, flexible for the right candidate. Open to self-employed contractor or employed status. Minimum of 10 hours per week across at least 2 days, with appointments generally scheduled between 9am and 5pm

Location

We are recruiting in 3 locations, providing mobile, home to home in London, covering either:

  • Location 1: Fulham, Barnes, Chiswick, Kensington, and surrounding areas.
  • Location 2: Finchley, Wood Green, Finsbury Park
  • Location 3: Harrow, Wembley and surrounding areas

Driving is preferred, though public transport or cycling is also possible

About us

Longevity Health and Fitness Ltd was established with the aim of connecting the medical sector and fitness industry, with a focus on specialised chronic disease management. Our primary approach involves prescribing clinical exercise as a means to prevent, manage, and enhance health conditions or injuries, emphasising the concept that "exercise is medicine."

We focus on addressing a broad range of musculoskeletal, neurological, oncological, respiratory and cardiac conditions encompassing a range of health challenges such as osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, back pain and spinal pathologies, cancers, stroke, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, post-operative rehabilitation and active ageing. We use clinical exercise prescription and advanced personal training to tailor specific exercise programs to individuals of all ages, abilities, and accessibility levels.

The role

We are looking for a clinical exercise physiologist, or a specialist exercise professional or Physiotherapist with an interest in clinical exercise, to join our team. This is a part time role, with the opportunity to grow into a full time position for the right candidate. You will provide home visit appointments in a mobile working setting, with autonomy over your own diary, covering Fulham, Barnes, Chiswick, Kensington, and surrounding areas. Driving is preferred, though public transport or cycling is also possible.

What you'll be doing

  • Delivering high-quality, evidence-based one-to-one clinical exercise sessions in clients' homes
  • Completing thorough assessments and developing individualised exercise programmes
  • Working with a wide range of client groups, including those with musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, oncological, neurological, and age-related conditions
  • Supporting clients to work towards their health goals with guidance and motivation
  • Liaising with healthcare professionals where needed to ensure joined-up care

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in exercise science, clinical exercise physiology, kinesiology, or a related field, or a degree in physiotherapy with an interest in clinical exercise
  • Certification as a clinical exercise physiologist, a specialist exercise training qualification, or HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist
  • Level 4 cardiac rehabilitation/stroke rehab/cancer rehab
  • Demonstrated experience working with individuals with chronic health conditions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confident navigating London
  • Current CPR or first aid certification is highly desirable
  • Enhanced DBS check required, or willingness to obtain one
  • Safeguarding course or willingness to obtain
