Appointment Details
The appointment is to commence as soon as possible for a fixed term period of 12 months in the first instance and thereafter may be subject to annual review to a maximum of 2 years. The post does not award a National Training Number. As this post is not recognised as a ‘training post’, full registration with the GMC with a licence to practise is required, and if the appointee does not hold right of residence in the UK sponsorship will be required. The duties of this post are equivalent to ST5 level/appropriate to an individual holding a Certificate of Completion of Training.

About the Department
We are one of the largest luminal GI Departments in the UK with all facilities (Endoscopy, IBD, Functional Gut, Small Bowel and Nutrition). Sheffield Gastroenterology is a multi-award winning unit please look at our website. We have particular interest in advanced endoscopy (Dr Mo Abdelrahim GI Con has done >300 ESD) and HPB Endoscopy (Prof Andrew Hopper). In addition, largest Small bowel endoscopy centre in Europe (>800 capsules & 100 Device assisted Enteroscopy per annum). Sheffield is the National Centre for Refractory Coeliac Disease. Two acute wards one elective ward and 10 Endoscopy Rooms.
