Clinical Fellow (ST3+ or equivalent) - Urology Department
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Fellow (ST3+ or equivalent) to join our Urology Department at our busy University Hospital Urology Department. The successful applicant will be employed as a Clinical Fellow and will work at or above the level of an ST3 SpR in Urology.
Location
The post is based at Bournemouth Hospital, and is suitable for candidates who ideally will already have experience in Urology and would like to build on their experience.
Role and Responsibilities
As well as normal clinical activities, there are multiple opportunities for delivering teaching and education, with an onsite education centre driving education for FY1, Core trainees and medical students. There is a weekly Grand Round. There are Urology Consultants with an interest in research with ongoing projects and trial participation. We have links with Bournemouth University that provide management and leadership courses for development.

The appointee will participate in a 1 in 8 on-call rota for Urology, fully supported by a Urology Consultant of the Week. This includes non-resident night cover.
Elective training outside of on-call commitments will include a mixture of day case and major surgery lists, supervised outpatient clinics, and diagnostic sessions for flexi-cystoscopy, precision point prostate biopsy and urodynamics.
Support and Resources
The post will have appropriate secretarial support and shared office space within the secretariat, with admin time provided.

Trust Developments
