Trauma and Orthopaedic Department at UHD
The Trauma and Orthopaedic Department at UHD are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the team as a Clinical Fellow in Trauma.
This is an exciting time to join as we are currently making great progress with a vision in creating a first-class, fully integrated Trauma and Orthopaedic Service within our Bournemouth and Poole Hospital sites as part of the new University Hospitals Dorset.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside our existing specialty doctors and registrars to provide care to inpatients including new admissions
- Supervision and support of junior medical colleagues, Physicians Associates and Advanced Nurse Practitioners/Advanced Clinical Practitioners
- Maintaining continued professional development
- Attending ward multidisciplinary meetings
- Attending and contributing to educational sessions and Clinical Governance meetings
- Partaking in departmental Quality Improvement work
- Participating in the hospital appraisal process as part of ongoing professional development

About UHD
UHD are investing, developing, and transforming Trust services in line with the New Hospital Programme. As part of this, some services may move site this year or next, either temporarily or permanently. Recruiting Managers will be happy to answer any service-specific questions at interview.
This service has a planned move from Poole site to Bournemouth site on Early next year.
If a role or service relocates as part of a planned move, excess mileage will not be reimbursed. Travel from home to the new work base will be classed as a normal commute. Any other changes will be managed under Trust or national terms and conditions.
