Home Manager (Nurse Qualified) - New Elmcroft Care Home, Shoreham-by-Sea

At Shaw Healthcare, we're looking for an exceptional Home Manager to lead New Elmcroft Care Home, our modern 60-bed nursing and residential care home in the beautiful coastal town of Shoreham-by-Sea.

About New Elmcroft

Located in a quiet residential area between Brighton and Worthing, New Elmcroft is a bright, spacious, purpose-built care home that opened in 2008.

The home provides high-quality nursing and residential care within a welcoming environment where residents are encouraged to live as independently and meaningfully as possible. Working closely with families, GPs and healthcare professionals, our dedicated team delivers compassionate, person-centred care that reflects our core values of Wellness, Happiness and Kindness.

About The Role

As Home Manager, you'll have overall responsibility for the leadership, quality and performance of New Elmcroft, ensuring every resident receives outstanding person-centred care while creating a positive, supportive environment where colleagues can thrive.

You'll be empowered to lead your team, build strong relationships with residents and families, and continuously drive quality across every aspect of the service.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Providing visible, authentic and inspiring leadership across the home.
  • Creating a culture where kindness, respect and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything you do.
  • Ensuring residents receive exceptional, person-centred nursing and care support.
  • Building strong partnerships with residents, families, GPs, local authorities and healthcare professionals.
  • Leading, motivating and developing a high-performing multidisciplinary team.
  • Managing occupancy, budgets and resources to ensure the continued success of the service.
  • Maintaining full compliance with CQC regulations, NMC guidance and all statutory requirements.
  • Promoting meaningful activities, independence and choice for every resident.
  • Driving quality improvement through strong clinical governance and effective performance management.

About You

We're looking for an experienced and compassionate leader who combines excellent operational skills with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding care.

You'll Have

  • Registered Nurse qualification with a valid NMC Pin.
  • Previous experience successfully managing a care home or similar-sized service.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and develop others.
  • Experience managing budgets, occupancy and service performance.
  • Excellent knowledge of CQC regulations and person-centred care.
  • A caring, compassionate and values-led approach.
  • A commitment to delivering the quality of care you would expect for your own loved ones.
