Purpose of the Role
CareFlex is looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to become a leading clinical voice within our specialist seating business.
This is a senior and highly visible role. The successful candidate will build on CareFlex's established clinical expertise, strengthen our reputation with healthcare professionals and help shape our clinical education, product development and commercial strategy.
We are looking for someone who can command the respect of other therapists, communicate confidently with senior NHS and procurement teams, create engaging clinical education and build a strong professional profile within the specialist seating community.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership
- Act as CareFlex's senior clinical authority for specialist seating, posture, positioning and pressure care.
- Develop clinical rationale, guidance and evidence to support our existing and future product range.
- Provide clinical input into product development and launches.
- Support and develop the clinical knowledge of our Specialist Seating Assessors and Dealer network.
- Provide clinical input into product development and launches.
- Lead or contribute to clinical research, product evaluations and focus groups, using clinician and user insight to inform new product development and continuous improvement.

Education and Training
- Design and deliver high-quality clinical courses, study days and training programmes.
- Develop education that CareFlex can offer commercially as paid professional learning.
- Create and lead a regular webinar programme on relevant clinical topics.
- Develop engaging educational resources for Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals.
Clinical Profile and Content
- Build a respected professional presence within the postural care management community.
- Develop an engaged social media following through useful, credible clinical content.
- Be confident presenting on camera for webinars, videos and educational content.
- Produce clinical articles, blogs, case studies, clinical justification documents and other professional resources.
Commercial and Strategic Support
- Accompany senior Sales colleagues to strategically important meetings and pitches.
- Provide clinical expertise during discussions with Procurement teams, Equipment Review Groups, commissioners and NHS services.
- Help CareFlex communicate the clinical value and outcomes associated with specialist seating.
- Build relationships with influential clinicians and healthcare decision-makers.
Clinical Community
- Develop relationships with Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, wheelchair services, specialist seating teams and other clinical stakeholders.
- Represent CareFlex at international and national conferences, exhibitions, study days and professional events.
- Identify opportunities for collaboration, education, research and clinical engagement.

Person Specification
Essential
- HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist.
- Significant experience in specialist seating, postural management, complex disability or a closely related clinical field.
- Credibility and confidence when working with senior clinicians and healthcare decision-makers.
- Strong presentation and training skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Comfortable leading webinars and appearing on camera.
- Able and willing to develop a professional social media presence.
- Commercially aware and comfortable supporting strategic customer meetings.
- Able to work independently and manage a varied workload.
- Willing to travel internationally and nationally.
Desirable
- Clinical Lead, Advanced Practitioner or equivalent senior-level experience.
- Existing relationships with NHS services, commissioners or clinical leaders.
- Experience developing paid education or CPD programmes.
- Experience creating digital clinical content.
- Experience contributing to product development, clinical research or evidence generation.
