At Kara Healthcare, we're looking for an experienced and compassionate Clinical Lead to join our team in Leicester.
As Clinical Lead, you'll be an important part of the leadership team within the home. You'll combine your clinical knowledge with strong leadership skills to make sure our residents receive safe, compassionate, and person-centred care.
You'll work closely with the Home Manager, care team, residents, families, and healthcare professionals to maintain high standards and support the team to provide the very best care.

What You'll Be Doing
As Clinical Lead, you'll take responsibility for supporting the clinical delivery within the home while working alongside the Home Manager and wider leadership team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing strong clinical leadership and support to the care team.
- Ensuring residents receive safe, effective, and person-centred care.
- Supporting colleagues with clinical decision-making and day-to-day care.
- Assessing, monitoring, and reviewing residents' health and wellbeing.
- Ensuring care plans and clinical records are accurate, up to date, and reflective of residents' needs.
- Supporting safe medication management and medicines practices.
- Identifying changes in residents' health and ensuring appropriate action is taken.
- Liaising with GPs, district nurses, pharmacists, hospitals, and other healthcare professionals.
- Supporting the management of clinical incidents, safeguarding concerns, and complaints.
- Leading and supporting clinical audits and quality improvement activity.
- Monitoring clinical standards and identifying areas where improvements can be made.
- Supporting the Home Manager with CQC compliance and inspections.
- Ensuring relevant clinical policies and procedures are followed.
- Coaching, mentoring, and developing care colleagues.
- Supporting new members of the team as they settle into the home.
- Promoting best practice and sharing your knowledge with the wider team.
- Supporting staff training and development where appropriate.
- Building positive relationships with residents and their families.
- Helping create a culture where high-quality care, dignity, and compassion come first.

What We're Looking For
We're looking for an experienced care professional who is confident taking on clinical leadership responsibilities.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience in a senior clinical or care role.
- Experience working within adult social care, nursing homes, hospitals, or a similar healthcare environment.
- Experience working with older people and/or residents living with dementia or complex care needs.
- Strong clinical knowledge and decision-making skills.
- Experience supporting or supervising care teams.
- A good understanding of safeguarding and clinical governance.
- Knowledge of CQC requirements and adult social care regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
- Confidence dealing with clinical situations and making appropriate decisions.
- A calm, caring, and professional approach.
- A genuine passion for providing high-quality care.
- Previous experience as a Clinical Lead, Deputy Manager, Senior Carer, Unit Manager, or similar senior position would be advantageous.
