Clinical Lead – Dual Qualified RNLD & RMN
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £50k per annum
Hours: 08:30am to 17:30pm
Contract: Permanent
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Clinical Lead who is dual-qualified in Learning Disabilities and Mental Health Nursing (RNLD/RMN) to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a clinically strong nurse who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care and who is confident providing clinical leadership within a complex care environment.
You will play a key role in ensuring residents receive safe, effective and individualised care, while supporting and developing the wider nursing and care team.
The Role
- Provide strong clinical leadership and professional guidance to the nursing and care team
- Lead on the assessment, planning, implementation and review of person-centred care
- Support individuals with learning disabilities, mental health needs and complex presentations
- Complete and oversee clinical risk assessments and care plans
- Provide clinical supervision, mentoring and support to nursing and care staff
- Work closely with GPs, psychiatrists, community teams and other healthcare professionals
- Lead on safeguarding, incident management and clinical investigations where required
- Ensure medicines are managed safely and in line with relevant policies and procedures
- Promote positive behavioural support and the reduction of restrictive practices
- Ensure compliance with the Mental Capacity Act, DoLS and Mental Health Act where applicable
- Monitor clinical standards through audits, reviews and quality improvement activity
- Identify areas for improvement and support the implementation of action plans
- Ensure accurate, timely and high-quality clinical documentation
- Promote a culture of dignity, respect, inclusion and person-centred care
- Act as a positive role model and advocate for the people we support

About You

- Current NMC registration
- Dual qualification as an RNLD and RMN – essential
- Significant post-registration nursing experience
- Experience working with people with learning disabilities and mental health needs
- Experience managing complex clinical needs and behaviours that challenge
- Strong knowledge of MCA, DoLS, MHA and safeguarding
