Clinical Lead GP | South Norwood, South London
Background
This is a genuinely unusual opportunity for a GP ready to step into clinical leadership with proper backing. The practice has recently brought in a highly experienced Medical Director who will mentor and support the incoming Clinical Lead from day one. The practice runs a total triage model, with a strong pharmacist team and trained medical assistants absorbing prescribing and admin workload, leaving GPs with focused, meaningful clinical work. The right candidate will enjoy the pace of general practice, be comfortable rolling up their sleeves, and have the appetite to grow into a genuine leadership position.
Location
The practice is based in South Norwood, South London (SE25), just off the high street with good local amenities and free parking in surrounding side streets. Crystal Palace is around 10 minutes away, Croydon town centre around 10 minutes, and Bromley around 15 minutes.
The Practice
- GP Training Practice with a strong culture of medical education and student support
- Total triage model: a digital front door routes all contacts, with GPs streaming patients to the right part of the team on duty days
- Strong pharmacist and medical assistant team absorbing prescriptions, bloods and document processing, keeping GP admin to a minimum
- Diverse patient population with above-average deprivation and translation support in place
- CQC rated Good

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
