Clinical Lead Practitioner
The Clinical Lead Practitioner will provide senior clinical leadership and professional expertise within the CAMHS multidisciplinary team. The postholder will lead and support high-quality assessment, care planning and intervention for children and young people with complex mental health needs, while carrying a small, complex caseload.
You will provide structured clinical supervision, support colleagues with complex cases, lead on risk assessment and safeguarding, and maintain a small clinical caseload. You will work collaboratively with the Operational Team Manager, multidisciplinary colleagues and partner agencies to improve clinical pathways, promote timely transitions and discharge, and develop evidence-based practice across the service.
Key Elements Of The Role Include
- Providing clinical leadership, consultation and structured supervision.
- Supporting complex clinical decision-making, risk assessment and risk management.
- Leading safeguarding practice and supporting learning following incidents.
- Promoting evidence-based practice, high professional standards and effective record keeping.
- Supporting clinical governance, audit, service review and quality improvement.
- Developing staff confidence, competence and learning opportunities.
- Strengthening collaborative working and clinical pathways across CAMHS and partner services.
- Supporting safe, effective and timely transitions into and out of CAMHS.
