Consultant Dermatologist opportunity

We consider all types of flexibility, including locations, hours, and working patterns

About the Role

At Bupa, we're driven by a clear purpose: helping people live longer, healthier, happier lives and making a better world.

We are looking for an experienced Consultant Dermatologist to join Bupa Health Clinics as our Dermatology Clinical Lead, providing clinical leadership, oversight, and professional accountability for the safe, effective, and person-centred delivery of dermatology services.

This is a focused part-time leadership appointment requiring 4 hours per week. The Clinical Lead responsibilities will be undertaken during dedicated non-clinical time, separate from any clinical practice.

We are particularly keen to speak with Consultant Dermatologists who are open to running dermatology clinics within Bupa alongside this leadership commitment.

You will work closely with the Clinical Director of Dermatology, clinic leadership teams, and Medical Practitioners to support clinical standards, governance, service quality, and future development.

Key Responsibilities

You will provide clinical leadership and governance support across dermatology services, helping ensure high clinical standards and excellent patient outcomes.

  • Provide clinical oversight and professional accountability for dermatology services delivered by Medical Practitioners.
  • Support the safe, effective, and person-centred delivery of care in line with regulatory requirements and professional codes of practice.
  • Provide clinical input into patient feedback, complaints, incidents, risk reviews, and significant event investigations.
  • Lead and contribute to clinical governance, local MDTs, audits, quality improvement activity, and regulatory inspection preparation.
  • Support effective results management, including failsafe reporting, audit activity, and timely follow-up of outstanding clinical tasks.
  • Mentor and support Medical Practitioners, including regular engagement, clinical guidance, appraisals, and development conversations.
  • Partner with Practice Managers, nursing teams, governance, quality, and recruitment colleagues to support service delivery and onboarding.
  • Deputise for the Clinical Director of Dermatology where required and act as a trusted clinical voice within the business.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
