Clinical Lead – Elderly Nursing Home
Location: Sevenoaks, Kent
Salary: £54,500 per annum
Qualification: RGN Required – Active NMC Pin Essential

Compass Associates are proud to be working in partnership with a highly respected provider of elderly care, who are seeking an experienced Clinical Lead to join their team in Sevenoaks.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse with previous leadership experience to take a senior, visible and hands-on role within a well-established elderly nursing home. The home supports older people with a range of care and nursing needs and has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality care.
The home is CQC compliant and is described as very well run, with excellent staffing levels and minimal reliance on agency workers. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Clinical Lead or Senior Nurse looking to join a stable and well-led service where quality and clinical standards are genuinely prioritised.
The role would suit an experienced Clinical Lead, Senior Nurse, Unit Manager or Nurse Manager, or a highly experienced Senior Nurse looking to take the next step into a Clinical Lead position.
The Role
You will work closely with the Home Manager and Clinical Deputy Manager, providing senior clinical leadership across the service.

Key areas of responsibility will include:
- Providing visible clinical leadership and support to the nursing and care teams.
- Working collaboratively with the Home Manager and Clinical Deputy Manager to maintain high standards of care.
- Supporting the delivery of safe, person-centred nursing care.
- Completing and reviewing care plans, assessments and risk assessments.
- Supporting clinical governance, audits and quality improvement.
- Overseeing areas including medication, falls, health & safety and clinical documentation.
- Providing clinical guidance and support to the wider team.
- Supporting staff development, supervision and performance.
- Maintaining CQC compliance and high regulatory standards.
- Building strong relationships with residents, relatives and healthcare professionals.
- Working clinically on the floor alongside some supernumerary responsibilities.
- Participating in the on-call rota and supporting weekend working when required.
About You
We are looking for a Registered General Nurse who is confident working within an elderly nursing care environment and has strong previous leadership experience.
You will ideally have:
- An active NMC Pin.
- Significant nursing experience within an elderly care/nursing home setting.
- Previous experience as a Clinical Lead, Unit Manager, Senior Nurse or similar.
- Alternatively, around 4–5 years' strong experience as a Senior Nurse with the ambition to progress.
- Strong knowledge of clinical governance, CQC requirements and quality standards.
- Experience with care planning, risk assessments and clinical audits.
- Experience auditing areas such as medication and care plans.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- A compassionate and person-centred approach to care.
- A visible, confident and approachable leadership style.
- The ability to work both clinically and supernumerarily.
- A full driving licence and the ability to commute comfortably to Sevenoaks.
