Clinical Lead - Imaging - MRI

Runnymede Hospital

37.5 Hours & Permanent

Salary: Up to £52,000.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

Runnymede Hospital in Chertsey is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for a Clinical Lead to join their team of staff in the Imaging department.

This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties Of This Role Include

  • Oversee day-to-day clinical service delivery, with a high degree of professionalism, ensuring effective deployment of staff and provision of a high quality, responsive, patient focused service.
  • Maintain ongoing dialogue with Consultant Radiologists on all clinical aspects of Imaging service delivery and support the Director of Clinical Services (DCS) in ensuring sessional use is maximised.
  • Support the DCS by attending meetings (minimum annual) with Radiologists to discuss clinical and operational issues.
  • Build and maintain excellent multi-disciplinary consultant relations, ensuring clinical service delivery meets clinical requirements.
  • Monitor all revenue capture procedures and ensure that charges are completed, checked and dispatched in a timely manner.
  • Conduct radiographic examinations as an autonomous practitioner and as part of a multi professional team in line with professional & departmental standards.
  • Managing the daily workload, optimizing scanner efficiency, developing protocols, and organizing staffing (including 5.5-day service coverage).

Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria

  • Experience working in an acute hospital setting in a Senior Radiography post or equivalent.
  • Experience of customer care, including interacting with challenging customers and situations.
  • Extensive clinical experience (3 - 5 years) in MRI.
  • Experience with multiple vendors (e.g., Siemens, GE) and advanced techniques such as Cardiac MRI (CMR).
  • A Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography.
  • A minimum of 2 years supervisory experience within a multi-modality imaging department.
  • A wide general radiographic background with expertise in one or more specialised areas.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare service sector and the systems and processes used.
  • Aware of College of Radiographers and HCPC Code of Conduct / Accountability.
  • Knowledge of IRMER and IRR17 Regulations.
  • Assisting with budgeting and managing resource efficiency.
