About the Role
In this Clinical Lead position you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational and practice management of the Onwards Outreach program. You will lead a team of 2 professionals, and use strong partnership with internal and external stakeholders, to provide psychosocial counselling and family-based support, focusing on reducing harm, strengthening family support and improving health and wellbeing outcomes. This permanent part-time leadership opportunity is suited to a qualified clinician looking to make a meaningful impact while leading a small, collaborative team. The role offers flexibility across 4 days per week or 5 shorter days, Monday to Friday, with the support of a local manager and a well-connected national organisation. There is also flexibility to work from home or our Newcastle office.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, supervision and support to a small team.
- Lead intake, assessment, triage and clinical case management processes.
- Deliver evidence-based AOD, psychosocial and parenting interventions.
- Conduct clinical and biopsychosocial assessments, risk assessments and care planning.
- Monitor client outcomes and provide reporting to partner organisations and funding bodies.
- Drive continuous improvement, quality assurance and compliance with clinical governance frameworks.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to support referral pathways and integrated service delivery.
- Support parents to strengthen wellbeing, recovery and parenting capacity.
Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health Nursing or a related discipline.
- Current registration (or eligibility for registration) with the relevant professional body.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a clinical setting.
- Experience working with Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) clients, including assessment and counselling.
- Experience supporting parents and families through coaching, mentoring or evidence-based parenting programs.
- Strong knowledge of clinical governance, trauma-informed practice and recovery-oriented approaches.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and external service providers.
- Highly developed assessment, care planning and case management skills.
- Current unrestricted driver's license and own vehicle (business travel reimbursed).
