Inify Laboratories is looking for an experienced Consultant Histopathologist to become its (Part-time) Clinical Lead Pathologist in the UK.
This isn't necessarily about leaving your current role or making a conventional career move, it’s an opportunity to spend around two days a week doing something different alongside your existing NHS career – helping develop a new, digitally led histopathology service, at a stage where your experience and ideas can genuinely influence what it becomes.

Rather than taking a traditional laboratory and gradually digitising it, Inify's model has been designed around digital pathology from the outset – bringing together modern laboratory processes, fully digital workflows, data and AI-supported diagnostics.
Its brand new, custom-built UK laboratory in South Oxfordshire is now operational and supporting NHS diagnostics. The next stage is about developing and growing that service, with an experienced UK pathologist playing an important role in shaping how that happens.

The opportunity
As Clinical Lead Pathologist, you will join Inify's UK team and become a senior clinical voice for Inify in the UK.
Working closely with Inify's Chief Medical Officer (based at its European headquarters in Stockholm), you will have significant scope to shape Inify's clinical direction in the UK, working collaboratively with the UK Laboratory Director and wider UK Leadership team as the UK service develops.
The role will be predominantly remote, including remote digital reporting, with visits to Inify's South Oxfordshire laboratory from time to time.
- Provide leadership across clinical standards, governance and diagnostic quality.
- Influence how Inify works with NHS pathology teams and clinicians.
- Contribute to the development and clinical validation of new diagnostic technologies.
- Help shape how digital pathology and AI are introduced into routine clinical practice.
- There will be an element of diagnostic reporting – this remains a clinical role – but you will have a broader influence on pathology rather than simply adding more reporting sessions to your week.
- There will be an opportunity to contribute to research, service development and innovation as Inify's UK business grows.

Could this fit alongside your NHS role?
You may already hold a formal clinical leadership position. Alternatively, you may be an established Consultant whose interests have developed in areas such as digital pathology, AI, innovation and service transformation.
The core requirements are straightforward.
You will need to be an experienced Histopathologist, GMC registered with a licence to practise and on the Specialist Register for Histopathology.
Beyond that, we are interested in the individual. We are looking for someone clinically credible, collaborative and progressive who wants to play a meaningful role in developing a new UK pathology service. Someone excited by the opportunity to influence how technology changes the way pathology is delivered.
